Climb the Firewall
Saturday, 5th December, 2020.
14:00 – 20:00
We are excited to invite you to Climb the Firewall, an interactive *real-life* scavenger hunt throughout Rotterdam’s streets to safely play in the age of broadcasted lifes. Rough tapes, computer fossils and prehistoric mobile phones will drive you to unlock your path for the unexpected.
Grab your bored roommates, venture out into the real world and follow the traces of De Tapijttegels all the way through the center of Rotterdam to enter their secret headquarters. If you make it on time and bring their lost treasures, they might reward you with an exclusive *real-life* performance. If not, at least you made it out of the house. But beware: Winners don’t fall from the sky. You will have to master multiple channels to find your way.
De Tapijttegels is a duo ensemble comprised of Sid Dankers and Nadia van Essen. A skilled kazoo player, and a trained nose-flautist who combine their qualities in analogue live performances in which dusty, yet electrifying sounds are created.
During the interaction of this somewhat naive orchestrals duo, they examine the context and immediate environment in which they are located. Their new tape will be released soon!…
