Vanessa Tuitel loves to work with the future. Vinex neighbourhoods under construction, casco buildings, roads… objects that set a new direction. She believes that the present is a construction that prepares the future. In her independent work, she translates this ‘perpetuum mobile’ (that concerns us all) into photography, paintings and installations. The aesthetics of tarmac and road signs in her visual work, lead us to uncertain, yet attractive times.

After her studies Fine Art and Graphic Design at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, Vanessa worked on projects and exhibitions for several artists and art institutions, such as Expodium – Platform for Young Art, Casco – Office fort Art, Design and Theory and for Skulptur Projekte Munster.
