Modified websites, computer desktops, musical controllers, a happy slapping video festival, reenacted Sol LeWitt drawing instructions: 'Not From Scratch' shows the result of a project by 1st year students of the MA Media Design of the Piet Zwart Institute, Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, tutored by JODI and presented in collaboration with V2_ Institute for the Unstable Media.

'Not from scratch' soothes your hacktive, cutting edge, deconstructive appetite for modifications of popular websites and other electronic systems and media. Why work on own designed tools when we can playfully criticize pre-existing media of our own choice?
