Sara van der Heide (1977) was born in Busan, South Korea and raised in the Netherlands. She has been a participant in De Ateliers postgraduate program, an artist in residence at ISCP in New York and is currently an artist in residence at WIELS in Brussels. Sara has taught in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and joined the MFA tutorial team in January 2016. Her mixed media practice involves performance, watercolors, drawing, film, language, textiles, and curating. Her projects tend to develop and unfold over long stretches of time, like the cycle of a year or the period of a reign, or according to seasons.
